begin your home’s next chapter….

The most important decisions in your home are rarely the ones you see.

They’re made early, and the moment we begin shapes everything that follows.

unseen decisions……

The decisions that shape your home, its flow, its feeling, its quiet functionality, happen early, before anything else.

Because how your home supports your life, should matter more than how it simply looks.

And that’s why I work at the very beginning.

Before layouts are finalised.

Before decisions are set.

Before the build begins.

Because what truly shapes a home isn’t what you see, but what you feel, long before the final layer is ever added.

for those who value a thoughtful process, trust in the unseen and understand that creating a home with depth and meaning takes time

how I work…….

alignment first

Everything begins with a shared understanding. A sense that we see things the same way, valuing thoughtful design, trusting the process and understanding that a home evolves beyond a fixed brief. I believe that the most meaningful outcomes come from allowing space for the design to evolve, respond and unfold with intention.

trust in the unfolding

Good design takes time. It asks for patience, for reflection, for moments where things feel unresolved before they come together. This is where trust matters most, trust in the process and trust in me to guide you through it with care, clarity and intention.

a shared standard of craft

The success of a project lies in the hands that shape it. I work with contractors, makers and suppliers who are deeply aligned in their commitment to quality, detail and delivering a result that goes beyond expectation. Every element is considered. Every detail matters.

enduring materials

I choose materials for how they age and wear beautifully, when layering depth and tactility. Drawing on the Japanese principle of Wabi , these gathering marks of use form patina and presence, allow a home to tell its story - a quiet record of memory and life unfolding within it. I look to wood, stone, concrete, metal, linen, leather, earthenware and handwoven textiles when creating a home that invites welcome and warmth.

considered communication

Clear, calm and honest communication underpins everything. You are guided though each stage with transparency so you always feel informed, supported and confident in the decisions being made. Where timelines are defined, a shared commitment to timely responses and communication keeps everything aligned, where there is more flexibility in scope, this pace can ease.

A five step layered approach designed to create your home with clarity and intention.

Never rushed.
Never reactive.
Each stage leaves space for creativity and refinement, ensuring your home not only feels beautiful, but deeply aligned with how you live.

Entrance

…..you long for a home that feels as good as it looks, considered, personal and deeply lived in, where story, beauty and belonging are quietly woven into every layer.

this is for you if….

….at the beginning of something new shaping a home through a build, extension or renovation and want it to feel as considered as it looks

….at planning phase‍ ‍but something feels unresolved, as though the soul of the place hasn’t quite been found.

…..just stepped into a home you once imagined and yet, something doesn’t sit as it should, like the space hasn’t fully settled around you.

or you find yourself….

a calm, considered 55 minute conversation about your home and how it could feel.

still feeling unsure?

I created Stillness & Space as a gentle first step - an introduction to experience working with me specifically with this reason on mind, because you don’t need to have everything figured out.

These quiet shifts helped me feel grounded each time I moved between Borrowed Spaces and may help you feel more at ease in your home, while shaping how you truly want to live.
